With a vision to provide success to mining companies all throughout the African continent, five mining engineers created VBKOM in 2008. To do this, it would be necessary to create a highly qualified consulting company that would be able to provide both domestic and foreign clients specialized technical mining consulting services.

As a result of their success and development in the early stages, the firm was able to expand its basic offering of mining engineering services. The smart inclusion of important supplementary services helped the business to go even further and enhance customer assistance across the whole value chain. To better serve their large clientele in the region, VBKOM built a second office in Kathu in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa in 2015. About the Vbkom Bursaries 2025
Vbkom is offering bursary programmes for individuals who need immediate financial aid to pursue their undergraduate degrees, honor degrees, or BTech diplomas. The Vbkom Bursaries is an open-access program that accepts applicants from all backgrounds. You will be given the assistance you need as an awardee to pursue your academic degree. You are more than welcome to try out for this chance if you exhibit excellent academic performance and important traits as a student.

Selected recipients of the bursaries will be entitled to full payment of registration costs and tuitions fees. As long as the recipient passes the registered topics and continues to adhere to the terms of the Vbkom bursary contract, the scholarship is granted for the duration of the prescribed course.

• Geology
• Mining Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Metallurgy

Eligibility Criteria

The Vbkom Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

• Verify that you are a South African citizen
• Ensure that you have completed Matric
• Study towards a qualification in one of the listed fields
• Be enrolled in your second or a higher year of study
• Maintain a minimum overall average of 60%
• Demonstrate a hard-working and inquisitive attitude.

Closing Date
Applications for the Vbkom Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 12 January 2025.

The selection committee will not accept applications that are incomplete. Candidates whose applications are received after the deadline won’t be taken into consideration. Any late contributions, regardless of their content, will be ignored and ignored submissions will not be reviewed.

Announcements will only be made to shortlisted candidates. If you do not hear back from the selection committee within 3 months past the closing date, we regret to inform you that you have not been chosen for the programme.
