JD Home Stores is accepting candidate who would like a learnership programme to improve their abilities and skills in the thriving Wholesale department. The JD Home Stores Learnership extends an invitation to individuals interested in embarking on a Wholesale & Retail SETA Funded Learnership. The program seeks dynamic, enthusiastic young individuals to participate in a 12-month Wholesale & Retail SETA funded Learnership. These participants will play a pivotal role in advancing their careers within the JD Group (comprising Bradlows, Russells, Rochester, and Sleepmasters).
This initiative presents candidates with an excellent opportunity to transition into the World of Work. The primary objective of this program is to cultivate individuals who will contribute their talents to the organization’s growth. Successful applicants will have the chance to acquire hands-on experience across various aspects of the wholesale and retail sector. Our Learnerships are available in the Retail Sector across all nine provinces, providing a comprehensive learning experience.
You will also be required to perform the duties below:
- Provide customer assistance on the sales floor, focusing on exceptional customer service.
- Engage in marketing activities, manage merchandise, and ensure attractive display arrangements.
- Master the essentials of the English language.
- Grasp fundamental mathematical concepts.
- Record transactions accurately and handle payments using the POS System.
- Gain insight into the dynamics of the wholesale and retail sectors.
- Facilitate the process of opening new accounts.
- Implement strategies for maintaining and minimizing stock losses while ensuring effective inventory control.
