The CFAO Mobility Petrol Mechanic Apprenticeship entails candidates aiding in the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles in accordance with factory/distributor standards and specifications, aiming for optimal productivity. Upon selection, the successful candidate will embark on a comprehensive 4-year Petrol Mechanic Apprenticeship program. This initiative includes both theoretical and practical components, spanning over four years, to facilitate the completion of the candidate’s trade test and ensure proficiency in the field.

The CFAO Mobility Petrol Mechanic Apprenticeship requires you to perform the duties below:

• Aid in vehicle repair and maintenance adhering to dealer/distributor standards and complying with allotted flat rate time.
• Collaborate with journeymen to identify necessary parts for service/repair and ensure accurate ordering.
• Secure authorization before conducting additional work or dismantling components.
• Consult journeymen/technicians for technical guidance on challenging tasks.
• Strictly adhere to manufacturer’s technical specifications or instructions from journeymen.
• Comply with workshop policies and procedures as established.
• Document all performed work on the back of the repair order if necessary.
• Package all used parts, excluding oil and fuel filters, in plastic bags and place them on the passenger floor.
• Tag all warranty-replaced parts according to established guidelines and deliver them to the Warranty Store.
• Ensure proper documentation of all oils and parts used on the repair order.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and utilize provided protective equipment.
• Keep the work bay safe, clean, and organized.
• Record start and completion times on the repair order.
• Report any faulty or broken equipment to journeymen/technicians.
• Handle all special tools and equipment with care.
• Possess a complete set of tools according to RMI standards and ensure they are well-maintained.
• Fulfill any additional responsibilities as needed.
