About the Allan Gray Bursary 2021

- Science (except Veterinary Science, Medicine, Dentistry)
- Humanities or Arts

Candidates interested in the Allan Gray Bursary must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with their applications. The Allan Gray Bursary Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
1. Basic Requirements
- Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa
- Must not be above 21 years old in 2021
- Displays a strong passion in the field of entrepreneurship.
2. Academic Requirements
- Obtained at least 60% for Pure Mathematics or at least 80% in Mathematical Literacy for Final Grade 11 Results
- Obtained an average aggregate score of 70% for their final Grade 11 results (not considering Life Orientation).
3. Selected Universities
Must be pursuing their education in either one of the following universities:
- University of Johannesburg
- Nelson Mandela University
- University of the Western Cape
- University of Pretoria
- University of KwaZulu-Natal
- University of the Witwarersrand
- University of Cape Town
- Rhodes University
- Stellenbosch University
- University of the Free State

By sending in your applications, you are hereby giving permission to the selection committee to have your personal information utilized for registration purposes.
Applications will be subjected to further evaluation and vetting procedures to verify the validity of candidates. Anyone discovered to be falsifying any aspects of their applications will be disqualified from the registration period.

Applications for the Allan Gray Bursary must be submitted before the closing date on 30 April 2021.
The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date will not be acknowledged during the registration period.
Announcements will only be made to shortlisted candidates by the very latest July 2021. Should you not receive any word from the selection committee by then, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for the bursary.
Shortlisted candidates are required to participate in an interview. Please prepare yourself for it.
