About the Milliman Scholarships 2024
Milliman is seeking for candidates who would like to receive financial assitance to aid their study journeys through their beneficial and generous scholarship programme. The Milliman Scholarships offer between X10 to X25 awards, each totaling no less than US$ 5,000. These awards are non-renewable, but students can reapply annually if they continue to meet eligibility criteria. The scholarships are exclusively for undergraduate studies.

Scholarship America will evaluate applicants based on their academic performance and responses to three essay questions. Finalists will be selected from this pool by the Sponsor (Milliman Inc.).

Recipient selection by the Sponsor may take into account factors such as demonstrated leadership, involvement in school and community activities, work experience, and financial need as outlined in the application. Preference may be given to past recipients, and qualified applicants from the previous year may be considered for the current year’s program.

Scholarship payments are facilitated by Scholarship America on behalf of Milliman. Payments are typically made directly to the recipient’s school in August. For recipients outside the United States and Canada, funds will be transferred via wire transfer. It’s essential that both recipients and their educational institutions are eligible to receive funds from the United States according to the Office of Foreign Assets Control, United States Department of the Treasury.

• Australia: Candidates must have at least one birth parent affiliated with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage.

Additionally, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Reside in and attend a university in the United States, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, South Africa, or Australia.
• Demonstrate high academic achievement.
• Be either a high school senior or a current postsecondary undergraduate. For international students, this typically includes being in the final year of upper or higher secondary school or currently enrolled in technical or university-level programs.
• Intend to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at an accredited or recognized college or university. For applicants in the United States, Canada, Ireland, or the United Kingdom, this pertains to the entire 2024-2025 academic year, while for South Africa or Australia, it covers the entire 2025 academic year.
• Major or intend to major in one of the specified fields of study:
