The SASCP (South African Society of Crop Production) is a scientific-based organization that promotes crop science via training, research, and technology transfer. It is a member-driven organization with a mission to improve crop production in South Africa. It is the mission of the SASCP to increase public knowledge of science-based management of soils, crops, and the environment for long-term sustainability and the benefit of society.
Its objectives, according to its Constitution, are the promotion of science and know-how in crop production in South Africa, with particular reference to its implementation, advancement and expansion. It also seeks to establish links with related societies both within and outside of the country, and to collaborate with other organizations.

Candidates will need to be studying in an accredited South African university for the 2022 academic year.
