- Possesses an N2 Certificate with the trade theory subject relevant to the course;
- Or a Technical/Grade 12 qualification with the subjects of Maths, Physical Science/Engineering Science, and a relevant trade theory;
- Or a relevant N6 certificate or National Technical Diplomat (S or N stream)
- Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa (has Identity Document)
- Currently residing in eThekwini (must provide proof of residence)
- Passionate about the field of their choice
- Currently between 18-30 years old
- Has not taken part in an apprenticeship prior to this one
- Must be prepared to undergo through several pre-assessment sessions
