Eligibility Criteria

The SAPOA (South African Property Owners Association) Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
- South African citizens aged 18–35 in 2025/2026
- 2025 matriculants, or individuals who matriculated in previous years but have not yet begun (or wish to restart) a funded degree
- Must be pursuing either one of the following fields:
- BSc Civil Engineering
- BSc Property Studies
- BSc Architectural Studies
- BCom Property Valuation & Management
- BSc Quantity Surveying
- Bachelor of Urban/Town & Regional Planning
- BSc Real Estate
- BSc Construction Studies.
Application Instructions

- SAPOA Bursary Fund – 2026 First Year Application (Current Matriculants)
- SAPOA Bursary Fund – 2026 Application Undergraduate Students.
Additionally, you will need to provide the following documents:
- ID Document
- Proof of Income
- Matric Results
- Parent/Guardian ID
- 2026 University Proof: provisional acceptance, wait-list, or application receipt.
Document Submission Instructions
- All documents must be submitted in PDF format
- Applicants currently in Matric who do not yet have an official Matric Certificate must upload their most recent Grade 11 report in the field designated for Matric Results.
Written Submission Requirements
Applicants are required to prepare and submit a motivational letter addressed to the SAPOA Bursary Fund in support of their 2026 application. The submission must not exceed one (1) page in length and must be uploaded in PDF format.
By sending in your applications, you are hereby giving permission to the selection committee to have your personal information utilized for registration purposes.
Applications will be subjected to further evaluation and vetting procedures to verify the validity of candidates. Anyone discovered to be falsifying any aspects of their applications will be disqualified from the registration period.
Closing Date
Applications for the SAPOA (South African Property Owners Association) Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 15 September 2025.
The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date will not be acknowledged during the registration period.
