About Promaths
Promaths is an initiative formed under the Kutlwanong Maths, Science, and Technology Centre that’s designed to provide students with the valuable extra classes focusing on Maths and Science. With more than 15 years of qualified experience under their belt, Promaths has been able to produce some of the country’s most talented students with high ambitions and an academic drive to match. One of Promath’s programmes, titled the Promaths Bursary Fund, is a scheme that helps to provide alumni of Promaths with the necessary financial support to keep pursuing their tertiary education. This is done to support individuals originating from financially disadvantaged backgrounds and communities.

About the Promaths Bursary Fund 2022
Promaths is offering financial assistance for bright-minded South African students who are pursuing a legitimate scarce skills degree or National Diploma. The Promaths Bursary Fund is an all-inclusive programme that welcomes people of all different backgrounds. As an awardee, you will be provided with the necessary support to chase after your academic qualification. If you display exemplary academic scores and valuable qualities as a student, you are more than encouraged to give this opportunity a shot.

Eligibility Criteria

The selection committee will be making their decisions based on the items mentioned below. Failure to meet all of these criteria might put your applications in a risky position.

The Promaths Bursary Fund Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Officially recognised as a citizen of South Africa
  • Has enrolled in any Promaths or Kutlwanong Centre in any part of South Africa
  • Has been accepted into an accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Pursuing a scarce skills degree or a National Diploma.

Application Instructions
Apply online: Promaths Bursary Fund 2022.

To sign up for the bursary, candidates must register for an account on the Xhuma portal provided above. All of your personal details and registration documents will be stored on the account. Make sure you keep your account secure at all times to prevent hacking incidents.

Candidates are required to provide the documents below:

  • Your Identity Document/Passport/Birth Certificate
  • Your legitimate proof of address from your guardians or parents
  • Your legitimate proof of your most recent academic results
  • A legitimate proof of income originating from your guardian or parents (if unemployed, please provide an affidavit).

Once you have your account set up, you can proceed to choose the funders that are suggested for you. Please be kindly informed that all of the personal information you provide on the portal will be shared with the funders. Be sure to provide information that is accurate and factual.

Submissions made through external methods, such as fax or email, will not be acknowledged by the selection committee.

Closing Date
Applications for the Promaths Bursary Fund must be submitted before the closing date on 30 September 2021.

If you feel like you’re a suitable candidate for the bursary, feel free to register right now. An early registration helps you guarantee a safe spot during the recruitment process. However, it does not mean you will be immediately accepted into the bursary.

The selection committee has very high intolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date, even just after a few days, will automatically be disqualified.

Promaths reserves the rights to make an appointment or not during the recruitment process. All decisions made by the selection committee are final.
