About the Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture Bursaries 2021
The Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture is offering bursary programmes for academically-talented students in South Africa in several different fields. The Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture Bursaries is a wonderful opportunity that aims to uplift students in the country to continue their education with financial support. The department hopes that with this initiative, awardees of the bursaries will grow up to become positive contributors towards their local societies.
The Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture Bursaries is currently available for the following fields:
- Heritage Resources Management
- Archaeology (e.g. Marine, Forensic, etc.)
- Living Heritage
- Museum Management and Curatorship
- Art History and Fine Arts
- Information Science (Specialize in Records Management)
- Collections (Cultural & Natural) Management)
- Conservation of the Built Environment
- Conservation and Preventive Conservation
- Archives and Records Management
- Anthropology (including Forensic Anthropology)
- Courses that contribute to the preservation and promotion of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and S.A.
The Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture Bursaries provides coverage for the following itmes:
- Study expenses: full coverage of total amount of study expenses
- Prescribed study materials
- Accommodation costs of up to R50 000 (where applicable)
- Daily meals of up to R18 500 maximum (where applicable)
