About Anglo American Platinum Bursaries 2023
Anglo American Platinum is currently offering bursary programmes in 6 different study fields for anybody looking for financial aid to pursue their education. As a recipient of the Anglo American Platinum Bursaries, you will receive various benefits, including coverage for tuition fees, an allowance for private accommodation or coverage for accommodation costs (which may include a university residence with a self-catering allowance or a university residence with meals provided).

Additionally, there will be an allowance provided for a computer or laptop, a personal allowance, and a textbook allowance. As a scholarship or bursary recipient, you will also have access to our company’s medical aid scheme. While you have the option to remain on your parent or guardian’s medical aid, you will need to provide proof of this arrangement.

Eligibility Criteria

A. Geotechnical Engineering & Ventilation

• For a student in their 3rd year: You must be currently enrolled in your 2nd year and have successfully completed all subjects you are currently registered for at your tertiary institution.
• For a student in their 4th year: You must be currently enrolled in your 3rd year and have successfully completed all subjects you are currently registered for at your tertiary institution.

B. Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Engineering

• For current Grade 12 learners: You need to submit your final Grade 11 results, including Mathematics, Science, and English with a pass rate of 60%. The results must be stamped by your school.
• For 1st year students: You should have successfully completed Grade 12 with a pass rate of 60% in Mathematics, Science, and English. Additionally, you need to provide a certified copy of your Grade 12 certificate and an acceptance letter from a university for a 1st year Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering.
• For 2nd year students: You must currently be registered as a 1st year student and have successfully passed all the modules you were registered for.
• For 3rd year students: You should be in the process of completing your 2nd year and have passed all the modules and subjects you are currently registered for at your tertiary institution.
• For 4th year students: You should be in the process of completing your 3rd year and have passed all the modules and subjects you are currently registered for at your tertiary institution.
