The Heineken Packaging Learnership is an exceptional program designed to provide a strong foundation in the packaging industry. The program offers a structured curriculum that includes both theoretical assessments and practical working sessions held in a real-time company setting. Upon succesful completion of the programme you will be entitled to a national certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging NQF Level 3.

Throughout the learnership, you will be guided by professional training providers who will help you make significant progress towards obtaining a qualification. With their support, you will have the opportunity to develop practical skills and gain valuable industry knowledge. By combining both theory and practical experience, this program offers a comprehensive learning experience that prepares you for success in the packaging industry.

During the learnership, your responsibilities are as follows:

  • Showcase understanding of fundamental machine operations within manufacturing or packaging settings.
  • Exhibit comprehension of microbiology principles applicable to food handling environments.
  • Supervise critical control points (CCPs) as an integral aspect of the Hazard Analysis and Critical
  • Control Points (HACCP) system.
  • Execute quality control procedures within food or sensitive consumer product facilities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating automated food and beverage packaging line processes, including washing, filling, sealing, labeling, palletizing, and depalletizing.
  • Carry out initial maintenance tasks.
  • Apply effective problem-solving methods.
  • Demonstrate adept communication abilities and the capacity to interpret and utilize information.
  • Display proficiency in basic mathematical skills.

Eligibility Criteria
