The AMSOL (African Marine Solutions) Learnership is a fantastic learnership that provides you with the fundamentals of the maritime industry in South Africa.

A defined curriculum will be followed during the duration of the program, which will include both theoretical examinations and practical working sessions that will take place in a real-world workplace context. As you work your way towards a certification, you will be encouraged to make significant progress under the supervision of expert training providers.

As a learner, you will be required to:

  • Complete all required statutory training and maintain an on-board training record book during the term of the Learnership, which will result in an entry-level seafaring certification after successful completion
  • Maintain strict adherence to all safety rules
  • Perform activities aboard boats, both alongside and at sea, while being trained in a controlled environment.

Eligibility Criteria
First and foremost, you must familiarize yourself with the AMSOL (African Marine Solutions) Learnership’s eligibility standards.   • Has an official South African Identity Document
  • Currently between the ages of 18-25
  • Residing within the Richtersveld or Nama Khoi Municipalities in the Northern Cape region
  • Fulfills the SHEQ standards as well as Drug & Alcohol policies
  • Be able to fulfill any instructions or work procedures
  • Works well wth other team player
  • Has a professional and well-rounded work ethic.

Closing Date
Applications for the AMSOL (African Marine Solutions) Learnership must be submitted before the closing date on 13 October 2023.

Late applications will not be accepted by the selection committee under any circumstances. Submissions that are received after the closing date will not be acknowledged during the period of registration.

It is recommended that candidates submit their applications as soon as possible after learning of their selection.
