The SAFCOL (South African Forestry Company Limited) General Forestry Learnership represents a comprehensive and immersive 10-month program tailored to provide aspiring individuals with a profound learning experience. Successful candidates will engage in a well-structured one-year Learnership Programme at NQF Level 3, which encompasses both accredited theoretical and practical training components.

Upon the successful culmination of the learnership, participants will attain a nationally recognized qualification, the General Education and Training Certificate in Forestry at NQF 1. This achievement not only equips learners with valuable work experience but also significantly enhances their prospects of securing positions with forestry companies, contractors, and even empowers them to explore entrepreneurship opportunities through setting up their own SMMEs. Moreover, participants will establish important connections within employment networks to facilitate their job search.

During the learnership, learners will receive a monthly stipend to support them throughout the program. When making the final selection, special consideration will be given to Previously Disadvantaged Individuals, which includes individuals with disabilities, females, and youth hailing from communities adjacent to SAFCOL plantations and communities with whom we have established social compacts.

Eligibility Criteria
