About the OVK Apprenticeship 2024
OVK is seeking for applicants who would like to obtain practical work experience through on-the-job training as a means to increase their chances of employment. The OVK Apprenticeship seeks enthusiastic and vibrant high school graduates who are eager to embark on a career path within the motors department.

Selected candidates will undergo comprehensive on-the-job training tailored to enhance their proficiency in a specialized field while also acquiring additional skills. Upon successfully finishing the program, participants will be awarded a certificate delineating their attained level of competency and will be formally registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF), thereby validating their expertise and facilitating their professional advancement.

The OVK Apprenticeship is currently available in three locations: De Aar, Northern Cape, Ficksburg, Free State, Ladybrand, Free State.

Eligibility Criteria

The OVK Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

• Ensure you have completed Grade 12 with Afrikaans, English, and Mathematics, and/or Technical subjects.
• Obtain an N2 qualification in Motors Mechanics.
• Consider acquiring a valid driver’s license, as it can be advantageous.
• Demonstrate proficient communication and language abilities in both Afrikaans and English.
• Showcase your computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications.
• Display strong numerical aptitude.
