• Plans, prepares, and consolidates balance sheet and profit and loss (P&L) statements and reports, adhering to relevant accounting standards such as IFRS, GAAP, and local standards
• Prepares reports for division or support function management
• Analyzes and assesses assets and liabilities
• Contributes analysis relevant to annual financial statements
• Collaborates with vendors and clients to reconcile account statuses at an accountable level
• Stays updated on changes in internal guidelines and external accounting standards, and conducts training sessions accordingly
• Reviews and updates published guidelines managed by Processes & Projects
• Issues and implements new accounting guidelines
• Investigates project and other ad-hoc queries from divisions and support functions
• Plans and prepares budgets and forecasts for corporate units
• Inputs budgets and forecasts into Spiridon and ESPRIT systems
• Allocates infrastructure costs as per approved budgets for distribution to divisions
• Supports colleagues in other African countries
• Assists corporate units with specialized reporting required by Headquarters, such as ADSTAR reporting
• Proactively ensures compliance with Support Function and Financial Reporting Guideline requirements
• Ensures fulfillment of all SAICA learning requirements within the specified timeframe, both technically and professionally.
