About the Givaudan Planning Learnership 2024
Givaudan is on the lookout for capable individuals with a passion for the company to obtain theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the Planning field. The Givaudan Planning Learnership entails significant responsibilities, including planning, scheduling, and ordering both affiliate and third-party finished and raw materials. Additionally, you will manage the scheduling of local finished powder products. Your efforts will be pivotal in achieving and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and organizational targets.

In this role, you will adhere to and implement organizational standards such as PIR, golden rules, and best practices, ensuring the efficient operation of the supply chain. Your contributions will also focus on minimizing slow-moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB), thereby supporting the overall efficiency and success of the organization.

You will also be required to perform the duties below:

  • Adhere to the parameterization settings in SAP
  • Identify and address shortages through efficient scheduling to maintain appropriate inventory
  • levels in line with corporate standards
  • Ensure timely responses to both internal and external customers by managing realistic daily
  • plans, considering capacity and raw material availability (MRP)
  • Operate under standards of quality, safety, industrial hygiene, and good practices
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities and participate in lean initiatives
  • Track purchase orders and escalate any issues that arise
  • Communicate and collaborate with relevant departments and business partners to resolve problems
  • Achieve and maintain targeted service levels
  • Control obsolescence using the SLOB Tool for inventory and risk assessment
  • Review customer orders to address raw material resale demands
  • Provide mid- to long-term forecasts to the procurement team
  • Resolve or escalate order-related issues, collaborating with production, customer care, and regional and global affiliates as needed
  • Produce and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly status reports (e.g., COOISPI schedule, OTS, past due purchase orders)
  • Receive and record vendor confirmations, file purchase order documents, and perform other duties as required. Collaborate with materials planners and the purchasing group to resolve vendor issues
  • Manage the supply of packaging materials
  • Run KPI reports and assist the Planning Manager with ad hoc requests when necessary
  • Enter required planning data into SAP
  • Coordinate with Logistics to ensure timely shipment of finished products
  • Collaborate with materials and production planners to resolve supply issues.

  • Achieve fluency in English
  • Gain expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite.
