About the Glencore Practical Training (P1 & P2) 2024
Glencore is seeking applicants who are in need of a practical training (P1 & P2) who would like to receive their necessary workplace exposure for their academic needs. The Glencore Practical Training (P1 & P2) offers valuable work experience to students pursuing Engineering qualifications at a Technicon or University of Technology, provided they have completed all requisite theory components. This structured program comprises two phases: P1, involving 6 months of practical workplace exposure, followed by P2, another 6-month period. Participants will engage in a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) initiative under the auspices of the MQA, gaining hands-on experience within their specific discipline at Glencore Boshoek Smelter.
During the program, candidates will undergo practical training and gain exposure directly at the company’s facilities. They will be immersed in real-world scenarios that complement their academic learning, fostering the development of practical skills and industry-specific knowledge. It is crucial that participants adhere strictly to the company’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) system throughout their tenure, ensuring compliance with established standards and contributing to a safe and sustainable work environment.

Eligibility Criteria

- Display proficiency in written English
