RCL Foods is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to fill the position of Transport Clerk within their baking business unit. The ideal candidate should have a strong orientation towards fleet management and be highly energetic. The Transport Clerk will be responsible for ensuring efficient workshop administration and supporting the workshop department with all administrative tasks related to managing the vehicle fleet. This role is based in Durban and will report directly to the Transport Manager, playing a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of the fleet services.

Your duties as a Transport Clerk includes the duties below:

• Maintain precise filing records for the vehicle fleet
• Order departmental stationery as needed
• Compile daily and monthly fuel usage reconciliations
• Activate fuel orders in the Freeway system and generate purchase orders
• Accurately capture delivered fuel data in both the FMS and Freeway systems
• Verify time sheet submissions from the mechanical team
• Record the time mechanics spend on allocated job cards
• Perform ad hoc administrative tasks as assigned by the fleet manager
• Assist the stock controller with storekeeping and stock counts
• Review the vehicle maintenance and licensing schedule daily
• Coordinate and record tyre management data in the Pro-fleet system
• Ensure vehicle fleet licensing is up to date and maintain accurate records of expiry dates.
