SATI (South African Table Grape Industry) has the goal of being a representative organization for the business that is geared toward progressive expansion, is recognized as a worldwide leader in the table grape industry, and is a genuine leader in the agricultural sector of South Africa. They will do this in order to enhance and secure the industry’s position in the global table grape market. Specifically, they will do this by increasing the opportunities available to their business within existing markets and by diversifying the present market risk profile of their industry.

They want to continue to raise the responsiveness of their company to the demands of their shareholders and customers in order to boost the industry’s efficiency and competitiveness by delivering timely and trustworthy information on the industry and market data. They will achieve this goal by combining the efforts of producers and exporters, cultivating reputable people and processes inside the business, and forming robust alliances and partnerships with all of their many stakeholders.

About the SATI (South African Table Grape Industry) Bursaries 2023
SATI (South African Table Grape Industry) is currently offering financial aid to Tertiary Education (TE) and Further Education and Training (FET) students. The SATI (South African Table Grape Industry) Bursaries is considering applicants who are attending courses that have a connection to the table grape industry and its value chain. These courses include, but are not limited to:

  • Horticultural Science
  • Entomology
  • Agricultural Economy
  • Viticulture
  • Plant Pathology
  • Soil Science.

Applicants will need to be taking either undegraduate or postgraduate studies. Applicants may also be studying either part time or full time. If you think this is the right bursary programme for you, don’t hesitate to register.

Eligibility Criteria

If you’d like to stand a chance of acceptance, make sure you fulfill all of the criteria that are mentioned. The SATI (South African Table Grape Industry) Bursaries Eligibliity Criteria are as follows:

  • Officially recognized as citizens of South Africa
  • Planning to puruse a long-time career in the table grape industry and/or its value chain
  • For TE studies applicants: must obtain at least a Grade 12 qualification or equivalent under SAQA
  • For FET studies applicants: must obtain at least a Grade 8 qualification or equivalent under SAQA
  • Displays an impressive academic track record
  • Preference is offered to candidates originating from disadvantaged communities, especially those who are already involved in the table grape industry or any part of its initiatives.

On top of that, you will need to send in the following documents:

  • A fully completed application form
  • A certified Identity Document
  • A certified Grade 12 results slips (or your highest grade passed)
  • All of your post-Grade 12 qualifications (if applicable)
  • A signed declaration commitment issued from your mentor
  • A legitimate proof of acceptance at a TE or FET institution, or an acceptance statement that allows you to pursue a post-graduate qualifcation as part of a research project team.

Alternatively, you can apply using your handphone, since it is much more practical than applying via computer. If you are using an OS Android handphone, you can use Google Chrome as your web browser. Since Google Chrome is automatically available in OS Android handphones, you don’t have to install any other browsers.

The information you put in will be evaluated by the entirety of the selection committee. That’s why you should double-check to see if there is no false information. Any indication of candidates providing wrongful details might be put in a risky situation.

Closing Date
Applications for the SATI (South African Table Grape Industry) Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 31 August 2022.
