About the Westfalia Fruit Bursaries 2023
Westfalia Fruit is offering financial aid for candidates who are looking to pursue their undergraduate studies in the academic study fields of agriculture. The Westfalia Fruit Bursaries is looking for students who have finished their Grade 12 education and intends to continue their studies at a University, University of Technology, or TVET college.

The Westfalia Fruit Bursaries are available for the following fields:

• Horticulture
• Soil Science
• Plant Pathology
• Plant Genetics
• Food Science
• Plant Breeding
• Technical Engineering studies: Fitting & Turning, Mechatronics, Boilermaking and Millwright
• Logistics
• Entomology
• Engineering (Agricultural, Irrigation, Mechanical, Mechatronics & Industrial).

Students from the surrounding towns who are interested in pursuing degrees in disciplines that are beneficial to the community, such as medical, nursing, or teaching, will also be given consideration by the program. Candidates from the communities in which Westfalia works will be given preference in the selection process.

Eligibility Criteria

The Westfalia Fruit Bursaries Eligibliity Criteria are as follows:

• Must own a legitimate Identity Document
• Currently in Grade 12 or have recently graduated from their Grade 12 education
• Already pre-approved by an accredited Institute of Higher Learning
• Obtain the necessary financial assistance required
• Displays an impressive academic track record
• Willing to pursue their studies full-time.

• Certified copy of June/mid-year academic results (latest academic results – the official mid-year (June) results)
• Certified copy of final academic results
• Proof of costs/Quotation from Tertiary Institution
• Proof of enrolment at the Tertiary Institution in 2023
• Certified Copy of your Identity Document.

Important note: First Time applicants should forward a certified copy of their final Senior Certificate/Grade 12 certificate/Academic results to their HR department as soon as it becomes available but no later than 8 January of the New Year.
