About Magalies Water
Magalies Water is a state-owned water board that offers a comprehensive selection of water and sanitation-related services to its customers. It does business in the provinces of Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, and Gauteng respectively. The scope of operations encompasses an area of about 34 000 square kilometers.

The mission of Magalies Water is to supply high-quality bulk water and sanitation services, as well as section 30 services, to Water Services Authorities and Water Services Institutions, as well as other users, in order to have a positive impact on the quality of life and economic growth of communities located within their areas of operation.

About the Magalies Water Bursaries 2024
Magalies Water is looking for academically talented candidates who are in need of immediate financial assistance to greatly support their tertiary studies. The Magalies Water Bursaries is available for the study fields below:

• Electrical Engineering (Bachelors Degree/Diploma NQF6/N4-N6)
• Biotechnology or Microbiology (Bachelors Degree/Diploma NQF6)
• Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry (Bachelors Degree/Diploma NQF6)
• Water Care (Advance Diploma/Diploma NQF6)
• Civil Engineering (Bachelors Degree/Diploma NQF6/N4-N6)
• Financial Accounting (B Degree)
• Mechanical Engineering (Bachelors Degree/Diploma NQF6/N4-N6).

Eligibility Criteria

The Magalies Water Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

• Officially a citizen of South Africa
• Currently between 18-35 years old (a youth)
• Currently pursuing your Matric qualification or have finished your Matric qualification
• Currently studying or planning to pursue a full-time study towards one of the qualification mentoned above for the upcoming 2024 academic year
• Currently studying or planning to pursue your studies at a recognized South African tertiary institution (e.g. University/University of Technology)
• Preference is offered to female applicants, previously disadvantaged students, and people with disabilities.

• An certified copy of a legitimate Senior certificate or equivalent (if you have finished Grade 12)
• A certified copy of the most recent academic transcript or record that is certified and printed on the institution’s letterhead or logo (if you are already at university or university of technology)
• A copy of a South African identity document that is current and certified.
