About the Schneider Electric Bursaries 2024
Schneider Electric is providing full and partial bursary programmes for both undergraduate and postrgraduate students looking to obtain financial assistance. The Schneider Electric Bursaries is an open-door initiative that accepts applicants from all walks of life. You will be given the assistance you need as an awardee to pursue your academic degree. You are more than welcome to try out for this opportunity if you exhibit excellent academic performance and valuable traits as a student.
The Schneider Electric Bursaries offers financial aid that will cover full tuition expences, accommodation costs, prescribed study materials, and a proper living allowance (this will be assessed according to your financial need).
Additionally, all bursars will be obligated to participate in vacation work during the winter vacation period (June/July).
Eligibility Criteria

The Schneider Electric Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
- Officially registered as a student in a recognized South African University (must be in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of studies, including your Honours and Masters)
- 70% and above overall academic average with consistent academic performance (1st year & 2nd year)
- 65% and above overall academic average with consistent academic performance (3rd year)
- Proven to require financial assistance (you will be required to provide supporting documents)
- Currently pursuing a University degree (BEng or BScEng) in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Mechatronics
- Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa.

Candidates must register for an account on the application portal in order to submit their applications. For the duration of the registration process, you must log into this account.
As an alternative, you can submit your application using your phone because it is much more convenient than using a computer. You can use Google Chrome as your web browser if you have an Android-powered phone. You don’t need to install any additional browsers because Google Chrome is pre-installed on OS Android smartphones.
Candidates will also be required to provide your most updated Curriculum Vitae, academic transcripts, and an officialy copy of your Identity Document.
By submitting your applications, you are granting permission to the selection committee to use your personal information for the purpose of registering you for the event.
Application materials will go through further inspection and verification steps to make sure they are real. Anyone found to have falsified any information in their applications will not be permitted to take part in the registration period.

Closing Date
Applications for the Schneider Electric Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 10 November 2023.
