About the Amanzi Bursary 2021
Mhlathuze Water is offering financial assistance for bright-minded South African students who are pursuing their tertiary education in a recognized institution. The Amanzi Bursary is an all-inclusive programme that welcomes people of all different backgrounds. As an awardee, you will be provided with the necessary support to chase after your academic qualification. If you display exemplary academic scores and valuable qualities as a student, you are more than encouraged to give this opportunity a shot.

The Amazi Bursary is offering three (3) bursary opportunities who are pursuing their first year or second year of their tertiary education. Candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Civil Engineering, Information Systems/Computer Science, or Bachelor of Commerce.

The Amanzi Bursary offers coverage for the following items:

  • Registration fees
  • Tuition costs
  • Accommodation expenses
  • Study materials.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the Amanzi Bursary must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with their applications. Each of these items below will determine whether you have what it takes to proceed with this bursary. To guarantee a successful application, candidates are advised to meet all of the following requirements. Failure to do so will cause disadvantageous consequences towards the overall result of your applications. Be sure to jot down these items for personal reference.

The Amanzi Bursary Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa
  • Meets the requirements for the field they are applying for
  • Possesses a Grade 12 certificate or first year results slip with an average aggregate score of at least 60%
  • Below 25 years old
  • Shows the need for immediate financial assistance
  • Preference will be offered to students originating from the communities of Mhlathuze Water in KwaZulu-Natal.

Candidates are required to send in the following documents:

  • A certified RSA Identity Document
  • Legitimate proof of registration at your preferred institution/proof of provisional acceptance
  • Legitimate proof of current residence
  • Your Grade 12 certificate or examination results slip
  • Complete academic track record if your are applying for second year of your tertiary education
  • A brief letter of motivation explaining why you deserve the bursary and what academic year are your planning to register for.

All these documents must be included in your application dossier. Incomplete applications will not be considered by the selection committee.

Fraud Notice
The Amanzi Bursary does not request any form of payment from candidates throughout the recruitment process. If you happen to find a false advertisement misusing the good name of the bursary and requesting for money, please directly report to the local authorities.

Closing Date
Applications for the Amanzi Bursary must be submitted before the closing date on 28 May 2021 @ 12:00 midday.

The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date will not be acknowledged during the registration period.

Announcements will only be made to shortlisted candidates. Should you not hear back from the selection committee within 30 days past the closing date, we regret to inform you that you have not been chosen for the programme.
