Eligibility Criteria

The Sibanye-Stillwater Plating Learnership Eligibliity Criteria are as follows:

1. Learnership 18.1 Plating MW

  • Obtain an N2 qualification with 4 relevant subjects
  • Complete at least 6 months of service with the company
  • Secure a recommendation based on the outcomes of the interview
  • Attain a psychometric evaluation outcome score of 4 or higher
  • Undergo a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Care Centre and be declared medically fit for the position and environment
  • Undergo an interview process and psychometric assessment, which will factor into learnership allocation.
  • Note that the selection process will proceed without delay, regardless of any screening process delays for applicants
  • Ensure that all entry level requirement outcomes are met before a recommendation is made for the applicant
  • Submit a fully completed Application form, Record of Service, CV, and certified copies of ID and qualifications to the Sibanye Stillwater Academy. Ensure that the relevant subjects for the applied discipline are included
  • Applicants holding Section 28 or 26D Trade certificates or currently participating in another Learnership will not be considered
  • Avoid submitting incomplete applications, as they will not be considered during the selection process.

2. Learnership 18.2 Plating

  • Obtain a relevant N2 qualification for the Plater / Welder Trade
  • Receive a recommendation based on the outcomes of the interview
  • Achieve a psychometric evaluation outcome score of 4 or higher
  • Obtain a Protection Services Clearance Certificate
  • Undergo a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Care Centre and be declared medically fit for the position and environment
  • Plater / Welder – required qualification subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Plating and Structural Steel Drawings and Platers Trade Theory.
