General Duties of Storeman

• Manage tools and equipment in the workshop. Distribute and collect tools from learners.
• Inspect tools and equipment, reporting any defects. Maintain an updated tool register.
• Supervise training equipment in the workshop. Dispense consumables to learners. Regulate flammable stock in the workshop.
• Aid the lecturer in their tasks. Arrange workstations with tools and equipment. Oversee that learners use tools and equipment appropriately.
• Advise the lecturer to request consumables.
• Assist with various support functions related to training. Ensure orderly workstations, and mop or sweep working areas as necessary. Lubricate and maintain machines and equipment.
• Coordinate photocopies for the lecturer as needed.
