About NYDA
The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) is an organization in South Africa that focuses on the development and empowerment of young people. NYDA is offering a 6-month learnership programme in collaboration with INSETA for those looking to improve their basic insurance and business abilities. In honor of youth month, the NYDA Learnership has established a partnership with the Insurance Sector Education Training Authority (INSETA) to create opportunities for unemployed youth living in the Mpumalanga Province.

The collaboration between NYDA and INSETA seeks to address the needs of young individuals in the Mpumalanga Province by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge in the insurance sector. Through this learnership, participants will have the opportunity to receive recognized accreditation in short-term insurance, enhancing their employability and opening doors to potential career prospects.

The NYDA Learnership offers candidates accredited Short-Term Insurance Skills (Level 4) and Basic Business Skills.

Eligibility Criteria

The NYDA Learnership Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Ensure that you are a South African citizen
  • Make sure you fall within the age range of 18 to 35 years
  • Submit a certified copy of your Matric Certificate
  • Provide a certified copy of your Identity document
  • Submit a proof of address that is not older than 6 months
  • Confirm that you have not previously completed or participated in any learnership programme
  • Ensure your availability for the full duration of the programme, which is 6 months
  • Applications from disadvantaged communities and designated groups are encouraged to apply.
