About the Implats Work Experience Programmes 2023-2024
Implats is offering canddiates a great chance to receive P1 & P2 practical work experience in the fields of Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The Implats Work Experience Programmes provide an opportunity to gain valuable practical work experience in the chemical engineering disciplines for a duration of one year.

The Implats Work Experience Programmes are currently available for the following fields:

  • Analytical Chemistry
  • Chemical Engineering

This experience aligns with university guidelines and serves the ultimate purpose of achieving a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Analytical Chemistry or a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Chemical Engineering. As a participant in these programmes, you will have the chance to apply your academic knowledge in real-world scenarios, enhancing your skills and preparing you for a successful career in the field.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria specified by the Implats Work Experience Programmes are welcome to apply. These criteria will be utilized to assess candidates fairly and determine their suitability for the learnership. Not meeting these requirements will lead to disqualification from the registration process.

The Implats Work Experience Programmes Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Ensure you have completed all theoretical modules of a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering
  • Demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of engineering concepts
  • Ensure you are medically fit for BMR and/or PMR.

Priority will be given to employees from designated groups as per the Employment Equity Act, the company’s recruitment policy, and its Employment Equity Plan.
