About the Heineken Learnership 2025
Heineken is looking for interested applicants who are seeking for a chance to improve their professional abilities and skills within the established company. The Heineken Learnership extends an invitation to individuals to engage in the aforementioned learnership program situated at their Springs Plant. This comprehensive program entails a well-organized curriculum that integrates theoretical assessments with practical sessions conducted in a genuine company environment.
Throughout the duration of the program, participants will benefit from the guidance of experienced training providers, fostering substantial progress as they strive towards obtaining a recognized qualification. The immersive learning experience is designed to equip learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills within a real-world corporate setting.
Learners will be required to delve into the following processes:
- Understand the basics of how machines operate within manufacturing or packaging environments
- Track and manage Critical Control Points (CCPs) as part of the HACCP food safety system
- Apply quality control procedures when working with food or other sensitive consumer products
- Demonstrate skill in operating three specific machines during the Learnership, based on operational needs, on an automated food and beverage packaging line
- Operate washing equipment as part of the production line
- Manage the filling process on the packaging line
- Carry out the sealing of products as required
- Operate labeling machines to apply correct product labels
- Stack finished products onto pallets (palletizing)
- Unload products from pallets (depalletizing)
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment
- Use problem-solving methods to address issues in the workplace
- Communicate clearly and interpret workplace information effectively
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic mathematics
- Attend all scheduled classes and pass assessments with at least a 70% score in each subject as part of the programme.

- Demonstrate knowledge of safe working procedures
- Show strong verbal and written communication skills
- Function independently and remain composed under pressure
- Meet the physical demands required by the Learnership
- Work shifts and overtime as needed during workplace training
- Comply with the Heineken Beverages Code of Business Conduct throughout your employment
- Accept a Fixed-term Contract if selected as a successful applicant.
