Limpopo Provincial Treasury is opening up X20 learnership positions for youths passionate about improving their knowledge as a professional Internal Auditor. As part of the Limpopo Provincial Treasury Internal Auditor Learnership, which is a 24-month programme, you will play a crucial role in supporting Senior Internal Auditors in the execution of audit assignments, adhering to the approved audit plan and procedures.

Your responsibilities will involve assisting Senior Internal Auditors in preparing comprehensive working papers for audits, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to the highest quality standards in line with the International Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards. Additionally, it will be expected of you to uphold and maintain the Code of Ethics outlined by the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa (IIA SA). By fulfilling these duties, you will contribute to the overall effectiveness and integrity of the internal audit function within the Limpopo Provincial Treasury.

Selected learners of the Limpopo Provincial Treasury Internal Auditor Learnership will be entitled to a salary of R202 233 per annum.

A. Basic Qualifications

• Ensure that you are a South African Citizen

• Attach proof of residence or obtain a confirmation letter from the local municipality to verify your residency in Limpopo
• Avoid having previously completed an IAT learning programme
• Upon selection, sign a 24-month contract with the department and actively participate in module training sessions organized by the Leadership Academy for Guardians of Governance over the duration of the contract
• Be prepared to undergo security clearance as part of the selection process
• Be open to the possibility of being assigned to departments, public entities, or municipalities within the Province
• It is preferable to possess an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) recognized by SAQA.
• Having a qualification in Internal Auditing, Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management,
• Financial Information Systems, Financial Management, Commercial Law, or a related field will be advantageous
• Have a career aspiration to pursue professional qualifications such as PIA, CIA, CISA, CFE, among others.
