W&RSETA (Wholesale & Retail SETA) is an establishment that was formed in 2000 to fulfill the Skills Development Act in South Africa. As part of a bigger mission, W&RSETA helps to meet the need for more scarce skills within the Wholesale and Retail department. By offering learning programmes, grants, and training assistance, the establishment is able to contribute to the National Skills Development Strategy. As one of the 21 SETAs in the country, W&RSETA possesses the same level of importance as the other SETAs and plays an integral role in the economic sector of the nation.

Bursaries Requirements
Candidates interested in the W&RSETA (Wholesale & Retail SETA) Bursaries must fulfill several requirements before proceeding with their applications. 1. Basic Requirements

  • Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa
  • Below 35 years old
  • Currently register or accepted into an institution and course mentioned above.

2. Institution Requirements
Institutions must submit the following documents:

  • SAQA registration number for the programme/qualification
  • Proof of CHE registration (approved letter from the CHE)
  • Proof of DHET registration (DHET certificate)
  • List of selected students
  • Cost schedule per course and per student
  • Proof/confirmation of registration at the institution
  • Bursary agreement (signed between student and the W&RSETA)
  • Certified copies of identity documents of the students (does not exceed more than 6 months)

Closing Date
Applications for the Mazars Internal Audit Learnership must be submitted before the closing date on 31 May 2021.

The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date will not be acknowledged during the registration period.
