About the Westfalia Fruit Apprenticeships 2021-2024
Westfalia Fruit is offering apprenticeships in several different fields for South African individuals who wish to obtain an artisan status in this industry. The Westfalia Fruit Apprenticeships is a fruitful opportunity for young citizens to get an inside look into the inner workings of the fresh fruit company. The Westfalia Fruit Apprenticeships is currently available for the following fields:

  • Boilermaker
  • Fitter & Turner
  • Electrical (x3)
  • Builder
  • Plumbing
  • Diesel/Motor Mechanic (x2)

Please be kindly informed that incoming candidates are allowed to register for only one apprenticeship. Selected apprentices will be directly registered into a 36-month programme, in which you are required to sign a binding training contract. The Westfalia Fruit Apprenticeships does not guarantee permanent employment upon successful completion of the programmes.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in joining the Westfalia Fruit Apprenticeships will need to fulfill an eligibility criteria attached to these programmes. Each of these items will determine whether you have what it takes to become a fruitful apprentices during the duration of the programmes. The Westfalia Fruit Apprenticeships Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa
  • Residing in Limpopo Province
  • Unemployed during the time of learnership
  • Has at least an N3 qualification in Drawings and Trade Theory subjects that are relevant to the apprenticeship of your choice
  • Proven to be physically and medically healthy to perform your duties as an artisan
  • Displays impressive communication abilities
  • Shows proven fluency in written and spoken English
  • Prepared to undergo through further security, medical, and physical assessments.
