Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the Vodacom Bursaries must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with their applications. Each of these items below will determine whether you have what it takes to proceed with this bursaries. To guarantee a successful application, candidates are advised to meet all of the following requirements. The Vodacom Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

• Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa
• Prepared to pursue a full-time undergraduate programme at a South African tertiary institution
• Family’s household income must not go above R150 000/annum
• Successfully passed their Grade 12 qualification with exemption, obtaining 70%/higher across all subjects
• If in first year of tertiary & above, obtain a minimum of 65% average/higher
• If you are already enrolled as a first-year student in a South African tertiary institution, you are more than welcome to register for the programme – provided you fulfill the requirements mentioned above.

If you are unable to provide certain information, please provide evidence why you cannot do so. Please be kindly informed that it is your responsibility to register for entrance to a university. Candidates are encouraged to register for at least two universities and seek out other funding options or bursaries as well.

Additionally, candidates are required to submit the following documents:

• Valid proof of academic results (current matriculants can provide Final Grade 11 results)
• A passport size photograph

Closing Date
Applications for the Vodacom Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 31 August 2023.

The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date will not be acknowledged during the registration period.

Announcements will only be made to shortlisted candidates. Should you not hear back from the selection committee by the very latest 30 November 2023, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for the programme.
