About the TWK HR Traineeship 2026
TWK is looking for applicants who would like to obtain a practical work exposure in a professional environment in the HR department with their traineeship. The TWK HR Traineeship requires the trainee to deliver precise and professional support to the Human Resources department, particularly in recruitment activities and day-to-day HR administration.
In this role, the incumbent assists with preparing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, performing reference checks, and keeping HRIS information up to date and accurate. The position further includes capturing new employee information on the SAGE 300 HR system, ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures, and offering administrative assistance across a range of HR projects and initiatives.
You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Create and revise job descriptions for both newly established and existing positions to ensure they accurately reflect role requirements
- Post job vacancies on internal and external recruitment platforms, ensuring all information is clear, precise, and error-free
- Review incoming CVs and compile well-structured, accurate shortlists of qualified candidates
- Arrange and, when necessary, conduct interviews, while ensuring timely and constructive feedback is provided to applicants
- Carry out employment reference checks and complete MIE background screenings to verify candidate information
- Keep thorough and well-organized interview documentation for inclusion in HR approval packs
- Enter new employee details into the SAGE 300 People system promptly and with a high degree of accuracy
- Assist in continuous job profiling efforts and support improvements to HR systems and processes.

- Hold a Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- Obtain a Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline (beneficial)
- Demonstrate proficiency in the MS Office Suite

- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-moving work environment
- Manage large volumes of vacancies in a high-paced setting

- Work accurately even when under pressure
- Display proactiveness, reliability, and a willingness to learn
- Collaborate effectively as a member of a team
- Communicate in both Afrikaans and English to gain an added advantage
- Hold a Code 08 driver’s licence (advantageous).
