About Transnet Young Professional-in-Training 2025-2027
Transnet Port Terminals, in partnership with Transnet Academy, is inviting ambitious and recently graduated individuals to join its Young Professional-in-Training Programme. This two-year structured initiative (24 months) is designed to provide practical workplace exposure, professional mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful business projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are clearly understood
  • Shadow professionals across different departments to gain hands-on exposure
  • Support problem-solving initiatives and contribute ideas to improve processes
  • Prepare inputs that assist in creating effective project solutions for clients
  • Participate in structured training sessions, workshops, and team meetings
  • Execute project-related tasks independently and collaboratively, ensuring quality deliverables
  • Assist in research, reporting, and general administrative functions
  • Respond to queries efficiently, ensuring timely resolutions.

Training Requirements

  • Specific qualifications are required depending on the training programme you apply for
  • South African citizenship is mandatory
  • Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old
  • 0–1 year of relevant work experience
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
