About the Toyota Apprenticeships 2022
Toyota is offering apprenticeship programmes for young South African individuals who are interested in obtaining practical working exposure in the company. The Toyota Apprenticeships is a remarkable opportunity that gives you a chance to be trained within several trades, such as Tool, Jig, & Die Maker and Millwright. Over the course of the apprenticeship, you will be under the guidance of professional experts as you work your way through your assigned responsiblities.

The Toyota Apprenticeships will be conducted in Durban, Kwazulu-Natal. Selected apprentices will be put in an hourly position throughout the entire programme. Unfortunately, permanent placement is not guaranteed upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the Toyota Apprenticeships must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with your registration. Each of these items below will be used by the selection committee to fairly assess all incoming candidates. To guarantee a successful application, make sure you fulfill all of these items below. Failure to do so might cause disadvantageous consequences towards the overall result of your applications.

The Toyota Apprenticeships Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
1. Qualifications for Tool, Jig, and Die Maker Trade

  • Possesses a Technical Matric/Matric qualification and passed Mathematics and Physical Science
    • Or, possesses an NTC3 qualification in Mathematics and Engineering Science
  • Displays prior workshop experience dealing with Fitting and Turning trade or
  • Mechanical work in the relevant field (advantageous)
  • Shows basic understanding of Technical Drawing and Graphic Design (advantageous)
  • Knows about Tool Makers Trade Theory.

2. Qualifications for Millwright Trade

  • Possesses a Technical Matric/Matric qualification and passed Mathematics and Physical Science
    • Or, possesses an NTC3 qualification in Mathematics and Engineering Science
  • Displays prior workshop experience dealing with Electrical/Mechanical trade (advantageous)
  • Shows basic understanding of Technical Drawing and Graphic Design (advantageous)
  • Knows about Electrical Trade Theory or Mechanical Trade Theory.

3. Qualifications for Auto Electrician

  • Possesses a Technical Matric/Matric qualification and passed Mathematics and Physical Science
    • Or, possesses an NTC3 qualification in Mathematics and Engineering Science
  • Displays prior workshop experience dealing with Auto Electrician trade (advantageous)
  • Shows basic understanding of trade related discipline (advantageous)
  • Knows about Auto Electrician Theory.

Candidates are required to register for an account to begin their registration. Your account will store all of your personal information and supporting documents required to process your applications.

Due to the sensitive nature of your account, make sure you keep it secure from anyone else. Never share your account credentials, especially your password, to others. This prevents any unwanted hacking incidents from happening to your device.

Alternatively, you can choose to register using your Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn accounts. This will automatically sync your information from either one of the accounts and will be used directly for registration.

By sending in your applications, you are hereby giving permission to have your personal information utilized by the selection committee for registration purposes.

Applications will be subjected to further evaluation and vetting procedures to verify the validity of candidates. Anyone found to be falsifying any aspects of their applications will be disqualified from the programme.

Submissions must be made through the online platform mentioned above. Applications sent through other methods, such as email or hand delivery, will not be regarded by the selection committee.

Important Note
Please be kindly informed that Toyota will be implementing their policies based on Employment Equity. These policies will take effect during both internal and external recruitment procedures. Therefore, consideration will be offered to internal candidates before moving onto external candidates – provided their Employment Equity goals are met.

Toyota does not require candidates to pay a registration fee during the registration process. Should you encounter any advertisement falsely misusing Toyota’s name, please kindly have them reported to the local authorities.

Closing Date
Applications for the Toyota Apprenticeships must be submitted before the closing date on 30 June 2022.

The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Anyone discovered to be making their submissions past the closing date will not be considered during registrations.

Candidates are advised to apply as soon as possible. This helps you give some time to evaluate the contents of your applications before submission. Please kindly register at your earliest convenience.
