About the Tolcon IT Learnership 2025
Tolcon is searching for candidates who would like to receive theoretical knowledge and practical skills focusing on the IT department through their beneficial learnership. The Tolcon IT Learnership is a comprehensive 12-month development program designed to equip participants with both practical work experience and in-depth theoretical training. Through this initiative, learners are given the opportunity to develop essential technical and professional skills that serve as a strong foundation for a successful career in the information technology industry.
The program combines hands-on learning with structured guidance from experienced mentors, ensuring that participants gain real-world exposure to IT operations, systems support, and administrative processes. Participants will work within a professional office environment, typical of IT administration and support settings, where they will engage in day-to-day technical and organizational tasks that reflect real industry standards and practices.
You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Learn how to plan and schedule system upgrades and maintenance activities without disrupting the work of others
- Gain knowledge of network and computer system security and privacy compliance standards
- Learn to install and configure hardware, software, and system functions in line with company specifications and requirements
- Acquire the ability to set up, configure, and maintain user, computer, and email accounts across all systems
- Provide users with guidance and training on the proper use of software and computer equipment
- Learn to manage, update, and customize the layout and features of the company’s SharePoint site
- Develop skills in monitoring, troubleshooting, and providing technical support for SharePoint users
- Learn to document and maintain accurate records of SharePoint maintenance, updates, and system activities
