As a Cashier, you will be responsible for the following work:

• Make certain that debit and credit cards are handled appropriately
• Handle pro-forma invoices and payment evidence for EFT
• Adhere to all processes and procedures as directed
• Every day, ensure that invoices are placed in numerical order
• Ensure that the cash office is tidy, professional, and secure, and notify the Financial Manager of any necessary repairs
• Any extra responsibilities assigned by Management while preserving duty segregation
• When consumers pay at the cash register, all payments are processed
• Do daily cash ups with another staff member in the afternoon and send to Head Office before departing
• Before processing payment, ensure that all rebates have been allowed
• Always be kind and nice to all clients
• Check if the outstanding COD list is empty
• Ensure that standard cheques and special clearing cheques are handled properly
• All excel spreadsheets and cash up for the day are managed
• Ensure that cash is always handled appropriately in accordance with SOP
• Make arrangements for change – fax necessary changes to the bank
• Keep the cashier’s office neat and orderly
• Before processing payment, ensure that all refunds and credit notes have been approved
• Professional in appearance and demeanor.
