About the South Cape TVET College Learnership 2025
South Cape TVET College is on the search for applicants who are looking for a chance to obtain theoretical knowledge and practical work skills in Professional Cookery through their learnership. The South Cape TVET College Learnership is perfect for aspiring chefs who want to work in restaurants, hotels, lodges, or guest houses. It provides training in key areas like food preparation, using kitchen equipment, storing food, cooking techniques, kitchen maintenance, as well as health, hygiene, and safety.

The program also focuses on developing important skills such as teamwork, communication, and delivering outstanding customer service. The learnership lasts for 12 months, with 6 months of theory and 6 months of hands-on practical experience at Bitou Campus. Youth from Plettenberg Bay and Knysna are especially encouraged to apply and will be given preference.

  • Obtain a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate Vocational NC(V) L4 Certificate
  • Ensure you are between the ages of 18 and 30
