About the Silulumanzi Bursaries 2023
Silulumanzi is offering multiple bursary programmes for South African students/undergraduate students who are looking to receive helpful financial aid. The Silulumanzi Bursaries is aimed to support young talents with impressive academic merits. Awardees of the bursaries will be entitled to coverage for their registration costs, tuition expenses, accommodation costs, and prescribed study materials.

The Silulumanzi Bursaries is renewable on a yearly basis and can be done so provided on your current academic performance. Upon successful completion of your studies, you will be required to attend the firm’s Water Learning Academy. Anyone who plans on backing away from the bursary’s requirements will need to take accountability of the bursary payment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Fitter and Turner
  • ND Water Care
  • Fitting including Machinery
  • BSc Chemical Engineering
  • BSc Electrical Engineering (Heavy/Light Current)
  • Instrumentation Mechanical
  • BSc Information Technology
  • ND Environmental Science
  • BSc Mechanical Engineering
  • BSc Civil Engineering
  • BSc Biology
  • BSc Quantity Survey
  • Millwright
• Preference will be offered to the following candidates:
  • Previously disadvantaged students
  • Students with disabilities
  • Female candidates
  • South African citizens residing within contractual concession areas.

After you have downloaded the application form, please fill it in with your correct responses. Make sure to read the application form instruction before inserting your information.

Additionally, you will be required to include the following documents:

• Proof of registration at University/College/Technikon/School
• Statement/account/invoice/receipt from the University/Technikon/College/School concerned to show the cost of study (where not possible, an estimate of these costs). This must be done in writing. Education Committee to assist in this regard where necessary
• Family income or an affidavit parents are unemployed (N.B: The company may use additional measures such as house visits, welfare workers assessment or other means to verify a candidate’s previously as advantaged and/or economic status)
• Applicant’s Grade 12 certificate or proof of highest level of education acquired.
• Any supplementary examination results, where applicable
• The previous year’s examination results
• Admission letter
• Applicant’s Birth Certificate and identity document.

All these documents should be included in your application dossier. Incomplete application will automatically be disqualified from the programme.

By sending in your applications, you are hereby giving permission to the selection committee to have your personal information utilized for registration purposes.

Closing Date
Applications for the Silulumanzi Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 30 November 2022.

Please submit your applications as soon as feasible. Early registration might help you secure a position throughout the registration period. Furthermore, it avoids any unwelcome last-minute surprises, such as unexpectedly excessive Internet traffic or missing papers.

Applications for the program must be filed before the deadline. The selection committee will not accept late applications, and such entries will be excluded from the program.
