SBV Services is currently searching for applicants who would like to obtain work experience within the Cash Processor department through their Yes4Youth programme. The SBV Services Yes4Youth Cash Processor Programme provides participants with hands-on experience in handling and processing cash in a secure and controlled environment. A. Cash Receiving and Preparation
Participants receive and capture deposits on the relevant systems while complying with company policies to reduce risk. They inspect containers or bags for damage or tampering and report any irregularities to the Team Controller. Each deposit is acknowledged on the system and processed according to agreed SLAs and SOPs. Workstations are prepared carefully to support accurate and efficient note counting.

B. Note Sorting and Reconciliation

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sending rejected notes, along with supporting documents, for verification and balancing
  • Reconciling rejected notes to validate deposit information
  • Checking for counterfeit, dye-stained, or damaged notes
  • Performing daily cash balancing and managing shortages or surpluses according to procedures.

C. Desktop and System-Integrated Processing
Participants ensure that deposits are kept separate per customer and processed on the same day. They balance all transactions on the system and complete end-of-day reconciliations. In addition, they:

  • Validate system-integrated transactions in line with bank SLAs
  • Verify account numbers to prevent posting errors
  • Report system issues or delays to the Team Controller.

D. Coin, Payroll, and Treasury Functions
The role also involves processing bulk coin deposits and teller transfers in line with company policies. Payroll and change transactions are handled according to customer SLAs, with discrepancies reported promptly. Participants assist with packing and unpacking bank and ATM cash, record bag and seal numbers accurately, and ensure floats are sealed and dispatched correctly. Throughout the programme, participants are expected to maintain equipment properly, report any defects, and use all tools and resources in accordance with standard operating procedures to safeguard company assets.
