About SALI (South African Landscapers Institute)
The Society of American Landscapers (SALI) is an institution founded in 1984 by a group of landscapers who strive to harness the true potential of the local landscaping industry by encouraging fellow landscapers to work together, produce excellent work, and conduct themselves with professionalism and integrity.

SALI is comprised of a broad network of members, principals, and suppliers spread across South Africa who is directed by the SALI Constitution and Code of Conduct. SALI is a non-profit organization. As a result of its constant growth over the years, SALI has established itself as the sole standards-setting organization, national representation, and voice for landscaping professionals in South Africa.

About the SALI (South African Landscapers Institute) Bursaries 2022
SALI (South African Landscapers Institute) is offering a bursary programme for Advanced Diploma students who are studying for their 2022 academic year. The SALI (South African Landscapers Institute) Bursaries are available for the fields of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Construction Management. As an awardee, you will be provided with the necessary support to chase after your academic qualification. If you display exemplary academic scores and valuable qualities as a student, you are more than encouraged to give this opportunity a shot.

Eligibility Criteria
Make sure to submit your application for the SALI (South African Landscapers Institute) Bursaries as soon as possible to avoid being disqualified. But, first and foremost, you must familiarize yourself with the program’s eligibility standards. Each of these characteristics will influence whether or not you would be an excellent candidate. The SALI (South African Landscapers Institute) Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Officially recognised as a citizen of South Africa
  • Must be pursuing their education in Landscape Architecture/Landscape Construction Management Diploma
  • Currently in the final academic year of your diploma education
  • Planning to start on your Advanced Diploma education in 2022
  • Obtained at least an average aggregate score of 60% for your current academic study year
  • Obtained at least an average aggregate score of 60% throughout your bursary education as well as for each subject.

Please download the application form above. Once you have the form with you, fill it in with the most relevant answers. Make sure these answers correlate with your current conditions.

Afterwards, you will need to attach the following documents with your application form:

  • A certified copy of your Identity Document
  • Your complete academic track record for the current year (must be on your institution’s letterhead)
  • Legitimate proof of your registration (if unavailable, please submit within 1 month after you have been given the bursary)
  • A complete letter of motivation that supports your application (must be at least 150 words)
  • Any supporting documents that are relevant to In-Service Training (if available).

All these documents must be included in your application dossier. Incomplete dossiers will immediately be rejected by the selection committee.

The selection committee will use the information you provide to register you for the event. By submitting your applications, you are giving the committee permission to use your personal information for this reason.

It is necessary for candidates to submit their applications through the email address mentioned above. Attempts to submit materials by other means, such as by hand delivery or fax, will be denied by the committee evaluating the application.

Closing Date
Applications for the SALI (South African Landscapers Institute) Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 06 December 2021.

The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late applications. Submissions made past the closing date will not be acknowledged during the registration period.

Candidates are advised to send in their applications as soon as possible. This will leave you with some time to properly evaluate the contents of your applications. Kindly prepare your applications at your earliest convenience.
