About the SafetySA Finance Learnership 2026
SafetySA is now on the lookout for applicants who need theoretical knowledge and practical skills focusing on the Finance department with their learnership. The SafetySA Finance Learnership supports the Finance Department in implementing a system-based fixed asset management solution designed to improve efficiency and accuracy in asset tracking. This project-focused learnership plays a key role in enhancing compliance with IAS 16 by ensuring that fixed assets are properly recorded, monitored, and managed in line with accounting standards. It also contributes to strengthening asset governance through improved controls, reporting, and accountability within the organisation.

In addition, the learnership supports the transition from manual, Excel-based asset registers to a centralised digital asset management platform. As part of this process, the learner will participate in physical asset verification activities conducted across AssureCloud branches nationwide, helping to validate asset records, confirm asset existence, and ensure consistency between physical assets and system data.

You will be required to perform the duties below:

  • Assist with choosing, configuring, and implementing a fixed asset management system
  • Review, verify, and transfer the current Excel-based asset register into the new platform
  • Perform physical asset verification, tagging, and inspections at branches across South Africa
  • Record and regularly update accurate asset details, including location, custodian, and condition
  • Contribute to asset governance, routine housekeeping, and fundamental internal control activities
  • Provide support for monthly and ad hoc asset reporting requirements
