In accordance with the provisions of the Public Finance Management Act, the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is a public institution that falls under Schedule 3A. (PFMA). It was founded on October 1, 1998, after the adoption of Act 40 of 1998, which was later abolished to make way for the current South African Civil Aviation Authority.

By virtue of the provisions of Act 13 of 2009 pertaining to Civil Aviation, the Act in its entirety was declared null and void. The Act makes provisions for the formation of an independent body that will be tasked with managing, promoting, regulating, supporting, developing, enforcing, and continually enhancing standards of safety and security across the civil aviation sector.

  • Pilot Training: Physical Science Level 5, Pure Maths Level 5, English Level 5
  • Aeronautical Engineering: Physical Science Level 6, Pure Maths Level 6, English Level 5
