RSR (Railway Safety Regulator) Internship 2025: Available in 10 Study Fields

About RSR (Railway Safety Regulator)
The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) operates under a robust regulatory framework designed to oversee and promote safe railway operations across South Africa. Its role as a watchdog begins long before a train departs the station, ensuring that all necessary safety measures are in place. By enforcing strict compliance standards, the RSR plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the rail network and preventing potential hazards before they arise.

To operate within the South African rail system, train operators must apply for a safety permit from the RSR, demonstrating that they meet the required operational standards. Safety remains the highest priority—not just for passengers but also for railway staff, stakeholders, and the broader community. The RSR takes a proactive approach, continuously working to enhance safety regulations, monitor compliance, and implement improvements that strengthen railway security and efficiency. Through these efforts, they strive to create a rail network that is both reliable and safe for all who depend on it.
