About the RCL Foods Fitter and Turner Apprenticeship 2025
RCL Foods is seeking for applicants who would like to obtain an apprenticeship programme focusing on the Fitter and Turner department in Krugersdorp, Gauteng. The RCL Foods Fitter and Turner Apprenticeship program is looking for two Fitter & Turner Apprentices to join its Baking Division. This position is based in Krugersdorp and reports directly to the Maintenance Foreman. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that plant maintenance is carried out effectively and accurately, minimizing downtime and contributing to the smooth operation of the facility.

As part of the apprenticeship, candidates will undergo institutionalized training at the Industrial Training Centre (ITC) for approximately 20 weeks. In addition, they will gain hands-on experience by working in various sections of the factory during both operational and off-crop periods, totaling around 29 weeks. At the end of each training year, apprentices will complete a Mini Trade Test (phase test) to assess their progress and determine their continuation in the program. Upon successful completion of the final Trade Test, participants will earn a nationally recognized qualification, equipping them with the necessary skills for a career in the field.
