RBS Academy is accepting applicants who require the proper assistance, knowledge, and skills focusing on the field of Short Term Insurance through their learnership. The RBS Academy Short Term Insurance Learnership is designed for motivated and ambitious individuals who are eager to gain meaningful workplace experience while working toward a nationally recognized qualification. This learnership provides a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge within a structured learning environment, combining classroom-based education with real-world exposure in the insurance industry.

Participants will receive hands-on training in key areas such as underwriting and claims processing, working alongside seasoned professionals who offer guidance and mentorship throughout the program. The learnership leads to an NQF Level 5 qualification in Short Term Insurance and serves as a strong foundation for those aspiring to build a career in the insurance sector. In addition to the professional development offered, successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of R5000, along with a R250 data allowance and a R750 travel allowance, totaling R6000 per month. This program also opens the door to potential long-term employment opportunities with one of South Africa’s leading insurance brokers.

Successful applicants will be entitled to an NQF5 qualification in Short Term Insurance.

Eligibiltiy Criteria
Applicants who wish to apply for the RBS Academy Short Term Insurance Learnership must first meet specific eligibility criteria before moving forward with their application.   • Ensure you are between 18 and 35 years old
  • Confirm that you are currently unemployed
  • Provide proof of passing Matric with at least 40% in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, and a minimum of 40% in English as either a First or Additional Language
  • Verify that you have not taken part in an INSETA Learnership within the last 18 months
  • Reside in one of the following locations: Cape Town, Gqeberha, or Johannesburg.
