About the Rand Water Public Service Administrator Learnership 2026
Rand Water is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for its Public Service Administrator Learnership Programme 2026 at NQF Level 5. This contract-based programme will be hosted in Glenvista, Rietvlei, Gauteng under the Strategic Human Capital portfolio.
The learnership is designed to provide participants with practical administrative training and workplace experience within the public service environment. Successful candidates will gain exposure to office administration systems, customer service processes, records management, and departmental coordination while developing valuable professional skills.

Job Type: Contract Learnership
Participants may be expected to perform duties that include:
- Assisting with meeting coordination and scheduling activities
- Preparing reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and official correspondence
- Maintaining filing systems and electronic office records
- Responding to public and internal enquiries professionally
- Capturing and updating administrative data
- Supporting departmental projects and programme activities
- Handling incoming and outgoing communication and mail
- Taking minutes during meetings and maintaining accurate documentation
- Ensuring compliance with public service procedures and policies
- Using Microsoft Office applications and office administration systems effectively.

Learnership Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Remain unemployed at the time of application and throughout the selection process
- Refrain from being enrolled in any educational institution for a qualification or participating in any Learnership Programme while applying
- Ensure that no completed post-matric qualification has been obtained prior to application
- Disclose all educational qualifications accurately, as failure to declare a completed post-matric qualification will result in immediate disqualification
- Avoid submitting an application if in possession of a completed post-matric qualification, as such applications will not be considered
- Obtain a Matric (Grade 12) qualification with either:
- Mathematics at Level 4 or higher, or Mathematical Literacy at Level 5 or higher, together with Physical Science at Level 4 or higher; or
- Mathematics at Level 4 or higher, or Mathematical Literacy at Level 5 or higher, together with Business Studies at Level 4 or higher.
- Submit a valid SAQA/NLRD verification report with the application. The report can be obtained through the SAQA Verification Service and the National Learners’ Records Database (NLRD)
- Hold South African citizenship and possess a valid South African Identity Document
- Fall within the age range of 18 to 35 years in accordance with the requirements of the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS III).

- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- SAQA/NLRD verification report.
