About the PepsiCo Millwright Apprenticeship 2026
PepsiCo is currently searching for candidates who would like to obtain practical work focusing on the Millwright industry through their apprenticeship. The PepsiCo Millwright Apprenticeship Program provides aspiring tradespeople with the opportunity to develop specialized expertise in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of modern industrial equipment and automated systems. Throughout the program, apprentices gain practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer-based technologies, including emerging automation and artificial intelligence applications used in advanced manufacturing environments. The apprenticeship is designed to equip participants with the technical competencies required to support and maintain complex production systems while ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

The program combines structured on-the-job training with formal classroom instruction, enabling apprentices to build both practical experience and theoretical understanding of the millwright trade. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, apprentices are exposed to real-world industrial processes and equipment while learning industry best practices. Upon completion of the required training period, apprentices must successfully undertake a trade test at an accredited Trade Centre to demonstrate their proficiency and qualify for certification in the designated trade.

You are required to perform the duties below:

• Assist with the installation, commissioning, and setup of mechanical and electrical equipment used in industrial operations
• Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on mechatronic and automated systems to support operational reliability
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults affecting mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control systems
• Operate and work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), sensors, actuators, and related automation technologies
• Operate machine shop equipment and precision tools to manufacture components according to technical specifications
• Fabricate, weld, assemble, and join mechanical parts and structures as required for maintenance and production activities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and completed assignments
• Adhere to established health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards at all times
• Attend classroom-based instruction, laboratory sessions, and technical training programs as part of the apprenticeship curriculum
• Complete assigned coursework, assessments, examinations, and practical projects within designated timelines
• Participate actively in mentoring, coaching, and workplace development initiatives to strengthen technical and professional competencies.
