About the PepsiCo Apprenticeships 2021-2025
PepsiCo is offering apprenticeships in South Africa in collaboration with Optimum Engineering Training to train applicants as Electricians and Millwrights. The PepsiCo Apprenticeships is a series of programmes based in Joburg that will equip you with the necessary practical experience to be a qualified master of a certain trade. Combining both full-time classes, and on-the-job training sessions, you will get used to the fast-paced environment in a factory setting.

The PepsiCo Apprenticeships will take course over a total duration of 4-5 years. Apprentices who show impeccable progress will stand a chance of receiving employment once the apprenticeship ends.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are interested in the PepsiCo Apprenticeships must first meet certain qualifying requirements before moving forward with their applications. Candidates are strongly urged to satisfy all of the prerequisites listed below in order to ensure a successful application. The following are the PepsiCo Apprenticeships Eligibility Criteria:

  • Officially has South African citizenship
  • Has an N3 qualification with the subjects of Engineering Science, Mathematics, Trade Theory relevant to trade, and Engineering Drawings
    • Or, a Matric qualification with Physical Science and Core Mathematics
  • Can travel to any regions
  • Prepared to undertake work shifts (e.g. public holidays, and overtime)
  • Has a strong technical understanding
  • Puts on a positive mindset
  • Committed to learning
  • Has a strong sense of self-determination throughout work.

By submitting your applications, you are granting permission to the selection committee to use your personal information for the purpose of registering you with the organization.

To ensure that applicants are legitimate, applications will be submitted to further review and verification procedures. The registration period shall be terminated if it is determined that any part of the applicant’s application has been falsified.

It is necessary for candidates to complete their applications online using the website linked above. Submitted materials sent by other means, such as by hand delivery or fax, will not be considered by the selection committee.

Closing Date
Applications for the PepsiCo Apprenticeships 2021-2025 must be submitted before the closing date on 03 September 2021.
